Cleveland Council on World Affairs
Jacob Connell is currently the Manager of Speaker Programs at Cleveland Council On World Affairs since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jacob served as an Americorps Member with College Now Greater Cleveland, focusing on local community service within the Cleveland Municipal School District. Experience also includes working as a Guest Services Associate at Smithsonian's National Zoo and serving as a writer and contributor for The Whole Kid, where Jacob engaged with educational content for students and families. In 2020, Jacob co-founded Ultimate Neighborhood Adventure Camp, addressing childcare needs during the pandemic. Jacob holds a degree in International Affairs and European History from The George Washington University, completed in 2022.

Founded in 1923 to promote world peace, the Cleveland Council on World Affairs is Northeast Ohio’s most prominent organization that provides the public with greater understanding and personal engagement in international relations and global issues. We strive to accomplish our mission through public lectures, international visitors programs, educational programming and outreach, and our young professionals program.
