Cathan Cavanaugh

Cathan Cavanaugh currently serves as the Supervisor of Communications for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District since December 2014, following a role as the Administrative Assistant in Communications. Prior military experience includes serving as a Hospital Corpsman/Dental Assistant in the US Navy Reserve from July 2011 to August 2018, where involvement included public affairs and executing various collateral duties. Cavanaugh’s professional journey also encompasses roles in community relations and marketing, notably as Community Relations Manager at Earth Fare, where extensive grassroots marketing initiatives were implemented. Previous experience in journalism includes producing news segments at WNWO-TV and contributing to various print and online media outlets. Cavanaugh holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Bowling Green State University and has engaged in international journalism work in Nepal.
