Amy Bendall

Amy Bendall is the Director at Cleveland Institute of Art. Amy has over 20 years of experience in the field of multimedia design, with a focus on interactive media.

Amy started their career in 1996 as an Interactive Media Specialist at ADCOM Communications. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing multimedia projects for clients. Amy also researched and selected software for use in these projects, and developed pricing estimates for individual jobs.

In 1999, Amy joined Vista Productions as Senior Multimedia Designer. In this role, they managed projects and client interactions for the company's creative department. Amy also initiated the web design department, and was responsible for locating technical partners and contract employees for web jobs that required back-end development.

In 2002, Amy left Vista Productions to join Rochester Institute of Technology as an Instructor. In this role, they taught freshman Raster Imaging courses, both lecture and lab sections. Amy also developed curriculum and lecture subjects, and created online learning and presentation tools for professors and staff.

In 2004, Amy left Rochester Institute of Technology to join Cleveland Institute of Art as Director. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the institute's multimedia design program. Amy also teaches classes and advises students on their coursework and career choices.

Amy Bendall has an MFA in Computer Graphics Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from CWRU Weatherhead School of Management, and a BA in Studio Art from Arizona State University. Amy also has certification from IDEO U in DESIGNING FOR CHANGE, LUMA Institute in Advancing Innovation through Human-Centered Design, and lynda.com in Motivating and Engaging Employees.
