Martin Tarr is the current director at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Martin has previous experience as CEO of Tiburon Technologies and Digital Strategy Group, and as a programmer for SDI Industry Systems. Tarr has also served as the director of mainframe modernization for EMC. In this role, they were responsible for managing mainframe optimization and modernization strategies for enterprise IT organizations looking to transition to a non-proprietary, open, scalable future state architecture. Tarr also designed and developed modernization tools that provided analytics, transformation, and a seamless migration path to a virtualized, converged infrastructure and cloud computing platform.

After Cleveland State University, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a Birthing of Giants degree in Business.
