Teela Samone

Teela Samone is a seasoned consultant and advocate with a diverse background in environmental justice and community engagement. Currently serving as a Consultant at Teela Patterson Consulting and a Parent Advocate & Community Engagement specialist for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District since February 2022, Teela also spearheads an Environmental Justice initiative known as Healing Spaces, focusing on creating quality greenspace and healthy communities. With extensive experience as a lead writer and project manager for various collaborative projects, Teela brings a strong foundation in journalism and project management to the field. Educational accomplishments include degrees in Biology and Health Sciences from Cleveland State University, Post Bachelor's education in Pre-Physician Assistant Studies from Kent State University and TriC- Eastern Campus, and a Chemistry degree from Cuyahoga Community College. Previous roles include a long tenure at Marriott International in customer care and reservation sales, which complemented the skills as a writer and editor since 2002.
