Christopher Macko has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Christopher is currently a Civil Service Commission Member at the City of Barberton, starting in November 2022. Previously, they held positions at Cleveland Steel Container, where they were Vice President of Employee Relations and later served as the Human Resources Leader & Employee Owner. At Continental, Macko worked as an HR Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Leader, providing strategic workforce planning, talent management, and performance management for several functions. Christopher also worked as the Director of Human Resources at Clinical Research Management, focusing on recruitment, performance management, and organizational development. Macko's earlier experience includes serving as an HR Director at Diebold, Incorporated, overseeing HR for the Global Security Division, and as an HR Generalist at Tremco Inc. Throughout their career, Macko has demonstrated expertise in various HR areas, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and talent management.

Christopher Macko, SPHR CCP has a strong educational background in business and human resource management. Christopher obtained their Bachelor of Science-Industrial Management (B.S.) degree with a field of study in Human Resource Management from The University of Akron, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they pursued General Studies in Business at the University of Mount Union from 1992 to 1993. In 2004, they completed their education with a Masters Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from The University of Akron.
