Thomas Clever has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Thomas started their career as a Designer/Developer at Thomas Clever Design and worked there from April 2003 to September 2007. In October 2007, they co-founded CLEVER°FRANKE, a data design and technology consultancy, where they are currently serving as the Co-founder & Managing Director. At CLEVER°FRANKE, they focus on creating meaningful solutions that solve complex business challenges using data-driven digital transformation. Alongside their role at CLEVER°FRANKE, Thomas has also been involved in various other projects and organizations. Thomas has been a committee member for Dutch Design Awards since February 2020 and served as a committee member from April 2014 to March 2017 as well. Thomas is a co-founder of Sensor Lab, a guest curator for Graphic Design Festival Breda, and was a guest lecturer at MaHKU, Graduate School of Visual Art and Design. Additionally, they have also worked as an entrepreneur at TrendViz and as a freelance graphic designer at Beukers-Scholma. Thomas Clever received their Bachelor of Design degree from HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht) in 2006. Prior to that, they completed their International Baccalaureate (IB) at International School Hilversum Alberdingk Thijm in 2002. In 2007, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Editorial Design from MaHKU, Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design. Additionally, Thomas Clever obtained certifications in Scrum Master in Interactive Projects from Scrum Academy in 2012 and Creative leadership from BNO Beroepsorganisatie Nederlandse Ontwerpers in 2011.
