Francesca Ortegren

Francesca Ortegren has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to present. From 2009-2015, they worked at Texas Tech University in various roles such as Graduate Teaching Assistant - Cognition, General Psychology Coordinator Assistant, Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant - Research Methods, Undergraduate Advisor Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant - Biological Bases of Psychology, Graduate Instructor - General Psychology, and Graduate Teaching Assistant - Cognition. From 2015-2018, they were an Assistant Department Chair, Assistant Professor, and Instructor at the University of Southern Indiana. In 2018, they were an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Indiana and in 2019, they were a Data Science Intern at the Advanced Continuing Education Association (ACEA) and a Head of Product, Technical Product Manager, and Research Associate at Clever Real Estate. As a Research Associate, they were responsible for analyzing publicly available data and data collected through surveys to provide insights about real estate, personal finance, and investing to the general public. Francesca used various skills and tools such as data cleaning and manipulation, statistical analysis and interpretation, Python, Pandas, Numpy, Sci-kit, Matplotlib, Scipy, Statsmodels, writing, and data visualization.

Francesca Ortegren received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2009, followed by a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Experimental Psychology in 2011, and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cognitive Psychology in 2016, all from Texas Tech University. Francesca also obtained certifications in Data Science from LaunchCode, Coursera, and IBM between January and April 2020. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Web Development from LaunchCode in July 2019, and in R Programming from Coursera in February and March 2018.
