Jesus Acevedo

Jesus Acevedo has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Jesus began their career at IBM in 1991, where they worked as an O/S 2 engineer. Jesus supported and maintained OS/2 serial driver and Third party applications in Boca Raton, FL, and later became the lead of the OS/2 level 3 support team in Austin, Texas. Jesus also served as an Integration Engineer for the Intranet development team in Poughkeepsie, NY.

In 1997, Acevedo joined Network Inc as a Senior IT Consultant. Jesus worked on projects for British Airways in Queens, New York, leading the migration of Lotus Notes and CC mail systems and implementing Tivoli Systems for help desk management.

From 2003 to 2008, Acevedo worked at SITA. Jesus started as a Senior Test Engineer and later became the QA Manager. Their most recent role at SITA was the QA Lead Specialist, where they led testing for the Airport Connect Platform (APC), a CUTE/CUSS/CUPPS platform deployed in over 409 airports worldwide.

In 2016, Acevedo joined Clever Devices as a Senior QA Engineer. No end date is provided for this role.

Jesus Acevedo earned a Masters degree in Information Technologies from Saint Regis, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. In addition to their degree, Jesus has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Agile Development Practices, Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences, Skills for Inclusive Conversations, Software Testing Foundations: Test Management, and Unconscious Bias, all obtained in May 2021 from LinkedIn. Jesus also holds a certification in Selenium WebDriver - Jumpstart your QA Career from Udemy, obtained in July 2016. Furthermore, Jesus obtained a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from the Management and Strategy Institute in June 2016, and a Load Testing Using HP LoadRunner 12 certification from Udemy in July 2014. Lastly, Jesus is a Certified Test Manager, obtained in January 2006 from the International Institute for Software Testing (IIST).
