Jose A. Garcia

Jose A. Garcia has extensive work experience in various roles, starting in 2010 as a QAC Representative at the U.S. Census Bureau. In 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Central Amusement International LLC. Jose A. then joined Exelis in 2013 as an Information Technology Intern. In 2014, Jose joined Clever Devices, initially as an Associate Project Engineer, and later as a Project Engineer I. Jose A. then progressed to roles of Infrastructure Engineer, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, and most recently as a Senior Network Engineer. In 2018, they also became the Owner of Rated M Performance.

Jose A. Garcia has an extensive education history. Jose A. obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2014. During the same period, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at New York University. In 2013, Jose briefly attended Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II to study Engineering/Industrial Management. Prior to higher education, they attended Centereach High School from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Jose has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2022, they received certifications in critical thinking for more effective communication, conflict resolution, learning network troubleshooting, managing skills for remote leaders, managing up, vulnerability management detection & response, and Wireshark network troubleshooting from different institutions such as LinkedIn, Project Management Institute, and Qualys. In February and March 2022, they also obtained certifications in delegating tasks, getting things done, making the move from individual contributor to manager, managing stress, networking foundations, new manager foundations, onboarding new hires as a manager, performance management (conducting performance reviews and setting goals and managing performance), and project management reinvented for non-project managers from LinkedIn. Prior to this, in November 2021, Jose acquired a certification in learning cloud computing core concepts from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, and in October 2021, they obtained certifications in foundations of project management and project initiation: starting a successful project from Coursera.
