George Banis

George Banis is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in technology and product development. At ClickUp, as Director of Engineering since 2022, George focuses on advancing workplace search solutions. Before this role, George spent seven years at HubSpot, where key contributions included leading engineering teams for CMS development and co-founding the Machine Learning/AI group, which grew significantly under their management. George also played a pivotal role in several successful initiatives, including the creation of a machine learning platform that processes billions of daily inferences. George's earlier experiences include software engineering at FIKSU and co-founding 47 Leads, a lead generation application development firm acquired in 2014. Academically, George holds a degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Northeastern University, along with further education at Democritus University of Thrace and Anatolia College.
