Andrew van Niekerk

Andrew van Niekerk is a legal expert specializing in EPC/PPP/IPP related services, currently serving as Director and Head of the Projects & Infrastructure Practice and Power & Energy Sector at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Inc since August 2021. With extensive experience in the construction and infrastructure sectors, Andrew previously held senior roles at Bowmans and Webber Wentzel, leading the Construction departments and contributing to Banking & Finance. Additionally, Andrew has served as General Counsel for Meraas Holding, overseeing contractual strategies for a $100 billion project, and as Senior Legal Counsel for Nakheel, managing significant development contracts for a $60 billion project. Andrew's foundational legal experience includes positions at Al Tamimi & Company and Turner & Townsend, as well as completing initial legal training at Webber Wentzel. Andrew holds a BA/LLB degree from the University of Cape Town, obtained between 1997 and 2001.
