Lauren Hart

Lauren Hart is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational excellence within the steel industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Operational Excellence at Cleveland-Cliffs since 2021, Lauren has successfully executed multimillion-dollar remodels across 17 plants using a 5S and six sigma approach, as well as traveled to various locations to benchmark production equipment and improve processes. Prior experience includes roles as Operations Manager and Process Manager of Operations Technology at ArcelorMittal USA, where Lauren managed significant projects to enhance production capabilities and efficiency. Additionally, Lauren has a background as a Project Engineer and Senior Design Project coordinator, focusing on process improvements and capital projects. Early career experiences include a co-op role at DTE Energy, emphasizing equipment reliability and maintenance. Lauren holds an MBA in Management from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
