Kathleen Barchick

Kathleen is a Senior Managing Director and co-founder of Cliffwater LLC where she is responsible for client relationship management which includes asset allocation, portfolio construction and manager evaluations.

Prior to forming Cliffwater in 2004, Kathleen was a Managing Director and Principal of Wilshire Associates from 1994 to 2004 where she was a senior consultant working with high-profile and complex public funds, corporate plans and endowments/foundations on their investment strategies and implementation. Her work included asset/liability studies, investment structure reviews, investment manager searches, performance measurement reviews and educational sessions. Prior to Wilshire, Kathleen was an acquisition officer purchasing spacecraft and satellites for the US Air Force where her work included analyses and presentations for Congressional and executive-level Department of Defense staff. Kathleen began her career with the Department of Defense Logistics Agency where she managed teams that assessed contractor performance for US Air Force radar systems.

She earned a BS in Operations Research from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from the University of Southern California. Kathleen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts. She is a Board member of the Air Force Aid Society, the Investment Committee Chair of the Falcon Foundation (US Air Force Academy) and a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Association of Graduates (US Air Force Academy).
