Andrew Charles is an experienced professional in the fields of climate technology and data science. Currently serving as Climate Technology Lead at ClimaSens, Andrew develops technology-driven solutions for addressing extreme weather and climate impacts. Previously, as Digital Solutions Developer and Data Scientist at CDM Smith Australia, Andrew focused on image classification and segmentation for satellite and drone imagery, along with risk management tools. As a Senior Data Scientist at the EPA, Andrew led the development of a contaminated land risk model and worked on various workflow developments. Andrew's earlier tenure at the Bureau of Meteorology included roles in automation of weather forecasts and climate modelling. Andrew holds a PhD in Computational Physics from RMIT University, complemented by degrees in Computational Science and Computer Science.
