Apolinar Gonzales

Apolinar Gonzales is an experienced leader in digital advocacy and grassroots engagement with a strong background in managing campaigns and mobilizing supporters. Currently serving as Co-Director at Climate Advocacy Lab since August 2023, Gonzales also holds the position of President at Nimbus Strategies, Inc., where advocacy and issue campaign strategies are developed to effectively engage global audiences. Previous roles include Digital Grassroots Engagement Director at PL+US, where Gonzales successfully managed a significant CRM migration and built a digital advocacy team, and Project Principal at Echo & Co., leading both business development and organizational strategy. Gonzales has also served as Director of Social Advocacy and Director of Online Strategy at the Natural Resources Defense Council and NRDC Action Fund, respectively. Educated at American University with a B.A. in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government, Gonzales has collaborated with notable organizations such as Greenpeace International and the City of Boston as an independent consultant.
