Binny Prabhakar is an experienced professional specializing in infrastructure, climate finance, and policy advisory. Currently serving as an Advisor at the African Development Bank Group since June 2016, Binny focuses on energy transition and large-scale project preparation and financing, as well as managing the NEPAD-IPPF. Additional roles include membership in the Advisory Committee on Public Health Emergencies for the European Commission, and positions within the NDC Partnership and Climate Arc to support climate policy and investment efforts. As an Independent Board Member of the Start Network and the Green Climate Fund, Binny provides governance and assessment expertise. Previous experience spans consulting for the World Bank Group and directing Climate Finance at Climate-KIC. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, along with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
