Kimberly Larson has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to communications, marketing, political direction, and activism. Kimberly started their career in 1995 as an Organizer at Green Corps. In 1996, they became a Canvass Director at the Fund for Public Interest Research, and then continued in the same role in 1997. From 2001 to 2008, they served as the Deputy Political Director at U.S. PIRG and The State PIRGS. In 2004, they briefly worked as a Coordinator at the Campaign Institute. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Media Director at The Public Interest Network. Finally, they joined Climate Solutions in 2010 and held roles as the Communications and Marketing Director as well as the Communications and Engagement Director.

Kimberly Larson attended the University of Vermont from 1991 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Kimberly majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Women's Studies during their time at the university.
