Bala Srinivasan started their work experience as a Managing Director at Och-Ziff Capital Management from 2003 to 2010. Balaji (Bala) then became the Executive Vice President, Deputy Provost, and Chief International Officer at the University of Chicago from 2015 to 2020. In 2015, they also served as a Board Member for Manipal Global Education Services. From 2017 onwards, they held the role of Member at Cyberport Hong Kong. In 2019, they co-founded Climate Vault. Bala joined Ahmedabad University as a Member of the Management Board in 2021 and became the Global Co-Head of Digital Assets at DRW in 2021 as well. In 2023, they took on the roles of Chairman of EPIC Asia at the University of Chicago and Member of the Board of Management at Krea University. Additionally, they serve as an Advisor to the Science Foundation at The Pritzker Organization.
Balaji (Bala) Srinivasan pursued their education with a strong focus on mathematics. Starting from 1986, they attended Caltech and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1989. Following this, they joined the University of Chicago in 1989, where they obtained their PhD in Mathematics in 1994.
