Simon Leo Brown

Senior Digital Editor at ClimateWorks Australia

With more than 20 years of experience in media communications, Simon plays a key role in supporting engagement with their work, as editor in charge of Climateworks’ digital presence including their website and social channels.

Simon came to Climateworks from a role as ABC Radio National’s Deputy Digital Editor, producing and editing high-value digital content for RN’s in-depth programs and podcasts. Prior to this, he worked for the ABC in Tasmania, Western Australia, and Victoria as a writer, digital producer, and multimedia journalist.

Previously, Simon was a freelance video producer and Artistic Director of the Hobart Fringe Festival. He was a pioneer in the use of digital video for environmental advocacy campaigns and was the driving force behind Tasmanian community portal Tasmedia.org.

Simon holds a Graduate Diploma in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English Literature, both from the University of Tasmania.
