Clinic for Special Children

The Clinic for Special Children was established in 1989 as a non-profit medical home for Amish and Mennonite children and adults with rare genetic disorders. The Clinic serves its patients by translating advances in genetics into timely diagnoses and accessible, comprehensive medical care, and by developing better understanding of heritable diseases. Work at the Clinic is focused on three major goals: - Deliver effective and affordable diagnosis and comprehensive care for individuals with genetic conditions. - Develop innovative laboratory methods that serve the needs of patients and families. - Expand the capability for clinical studies, education, and training in genetic medicine.
