Wei L. has held a variety of roles in the medical, education, and research fields. In 2022, Wei began working as a Content Specialist at CRIO and Combined Dermatology and Clinical Research Premedical Fellow at DermCare Experts & Beacon Clinical Research. At DermCare, Wei was also a Medical Assistant, Community Engagement Coordinator, and Clinical Research Coordinator. In 2021, Wei was a First-Year Counselor at Yale College Dean's Office and a Research Assistant for Dr. Hugh S. Taylor at Yale University School of Medicine. In 2020, Wei was Co-Coordinator at Yale Outdoors and an Educator at Creating Kids and CT Children's Museum. In 2021, Wei obtained an Emergency Medical Technician license through Yale EMS and was trained with EMTs at Echo Hose Ambulance. In 2019, Wei was awarded a First Year Research Fellowship to work in the Su Lab at Yale University School of Medicine.

Wei L. attended Vancleave High School from 2014 to 2018. From 2015 to 2017, Wei L. attended the Jackson County Technology Center, where they studied in the Medical Program. In 2018, Wei L. began attending Yale University, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. Additionally, Wei L. has obtained Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification from the American Heart Association, as well as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) certification from the State of Connecticut.
