Barbara Lewis

As a Senior Advisor to ClinicalBox, Barbara ensures the voice of the patient is heard loud and clear. Over a three decade career, she has been a journalist (publications including the Wall Street Journal), a serial entrepreneur, and most recently is a nationally recognized expert in patient safety. She wrote Joan’s Family Bill of Rights about her sister’s last days in the ICU. Using her experience as a springboard, Barbara embarked on a journey to help increase the voice of the patient through Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs). She has conducted extensive research on PFACs and speaks at national organizations about her findings.
