Jake Swart has held a variety of software development roles since 2009. In 2009, they were the webmaster for the IEEE University of Ottawa Student Branch and a junior software developer for Environment Canada's Canadian Ice Service. In 2010, they were a junior lab technician at the University of Ottawa and a junior software developer & design support at Ericsson. In 2011, they were a software developer I at Ciena, developing software features and integration for the 10G-MOTR Module into the CN4200 - Advanced Services Platform. From 2012 to 2016, they were a DevOps and Software Developer II at Nokia, where they developed C++ software for Alcatel-Lucent's Wireless Cloud Element (WCE). Since 2016, they have been a Software Developer at Cliniconex.
Jake Swart attended the University of Ottawa from 2006 to 2011, and earned a BASc in Computer Engineering, Engineering Management & Entrepreneurship Option, Co-Op, as well as a BASc in Computer Engineering, Engineering Management and Entrepreneurship Option. In 2017, they obtained a Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure certification from Coursera Course Certificates.
