Michael O. has been in the IT industry since 2011. Michael began their career at Dell Technologies as an IT Specialist in 2011. In 2012, they moved to IBM as an IT Consultant. In 2016, they joined Alberta Health Services as a Provincial Integration Lead and Provincial Deployment Lead. Most recently, in 2020, they founded Clinify.
Michael O. has a varied educational background. Michael began their studies in 2008 at Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Nigeria, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Michael then attended DeVry University from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Network Engineering. In 2013, they completed a Continuing Education Entrepreneurship Certificate of Completion at Mount Royal University. In 2014 and 2015, they obtained Continuing Education Certificates of Achievement from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Applied Project Management and IT Business Analyst, respectively. In 2016, they earned the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and in 2015 they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the same institution. Michael also holds certifications from the American Medical Association, CompTIA, IIBA International Institute of Business Analysis, AXELOS Global Best Practice, IBM, Canadian College of Health Leaders, Alberta Health Services, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Prosci, and Y Combinator. In 2020, they began pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Public Sector & Healthcare Management at the University of Alberta.
