Deborah Johansen

Deborah Johansen is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Legal Counsel at Clinigen since October 2023. Previously, Deborah held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Fanatics, Inc. from January to June 2023 and was the Head of Legal for EMEA at Highspot from June 2021 to December 2022, where responsibilities included being the first EMEA legal hire in a rapidly growing pre-IPO company. At Epsilon, from April 2017 to May 2021, Deborah served as Senior Director and Legal Counsel for EMEA and APAC, building a legal team and supporting operations in those regions. Prior experience includes a long tenure at Lloyd's Register, where Deborah acted as Senior Legal Counsel in a global capacity from September 2000 to March 2017 and led the EMEA legal team. Early career experiences include roles as a Solicitor in commercial litigation at Rosling King LLP and Maxwell Winward, as well as a Trainee Solicitor at Nabarro LLP. Deborah holds an LLB in Law from the University of Southampton and completed Law Society Finals at the College of Law, Chester.
