Bruce Thompson

Bruce Thompson, AICP has extensive work experience in the field of community development and planning. Bruce began their career as an Associate Planner at the Charter Township of West Bloomfield, Michigan in 1992. Bruce then went on to work as a Planner/Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Monroe, Michigan from 1992 to 1995. In 1995, they joined the City of Westland as the Director of the Department of Building and Planning (and Economic Development). Most recently, they have been serving as the Director of the Department of Community Development and Planning for the Charter Township of Clinton since 2018. Throughout their career, Bruce has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the field of community development and planning.

Bruce Thompson, AICP pursued their education with a Bachelor's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Eastern Michigan University, where they studied from 1991 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Schoolcraft College from 1989 to 1990, focusing on Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities.
