Christa Williford serves as the Senior Director of Research and Assessment at the Council on Library and Information Resources since August 2008, where responsibilities include planning and managing research and assessment activities, supervising grant writing, and collaborating with external partners on projects in library science and cultural heritage. Previous experience includes working as a User Services Librarian at Haverford College, a Cataloging Intern at Corbis Corporation, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bryn Mawr College, where research and digital collection management were key activities. Early career involvement as a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick focused on the intersection of theatre and IT, including building 3D models and teaching. Christa holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, and completed a PhD in Theatre History from Indiana University Bloomington, alongside a BA in English from Furman University.
