Sharon Ivy Weiss

Sharon Ivy Weiss has extensive experience in financial leadership, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Finance at the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) since April 2008. Previous roles include Head of Finance at Coherent Digital from October 2019 to January 2022, Accountant at the Self-Governance Communication and Education Tribal Consortium from April 2012 to December 2016, and Chief Operating Officer at CLIR for a brief period in 2008. Sharon has also held the position of Director of Finance at the National Congress of American Indians from November 2002 to April 2008 and at Southern Maryland Vocational Institute from November 2001 to November 2002. Early in the career, Sharon was Grants and Contract Supervisor at Carolinas HealthCare Foundation from October 1996 to October 2001. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
