Katie Rossmann

Katie Rossmann has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Early Identification Program Engineering Intern at GE Healthcare. Katie then joined Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in 2003 as the Habitat For Humanity-Anchorage Family Services and Volunteer Coordinator, where they facilitated family selection for housing and improved staff-homeowner relationships. In 2005, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Physio-Control, Inc., leading the manufacturing effort for a defibrillator and resolving quality issues. From 2006 to 2009, they served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Stantec, performing HVAC and plumbing design and construction administration. Katie then joined McKinstry as an Energy Engineer from 2009 to 2013, conducting audits, developing energy conservation measures, and performing field measurements. In 2014, they started working at the University of Iowa, initially as an Energy Engineer and later as the Manager of Building Analytics and Commissioning. In these roles, they solved operational issues, provided engineering expertise for construction projects, and optimized building systems. Currently, they are the Lead Service Engineer at Clockworks Analytics, a position they have held since 2021.

Katie Rossmann attended Marquette University from 1998 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Katie then attended Marian High School from 1994 to 1998, though no degree or field of study was specified for this period. Later, in 2019 to 2021, Katie pursued a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics at the University of Iowa. In addition to their formal education, they also hold additional certifications. In 2015, they earned a Certification in Energy Management from the Association of Energy Engineers, and in 2010, they became a Professional Engineer certified by the State of Washington.
