Stewart Gordon

Stewart Gordon has over 25 years of professional experience in software engineering and development. Stewart began their career in 1992 as an Investment Advisor Representative at State Street Bank. In 1995, they moved to Keane as a Senior Consultant. From 1999 to 2001, they worked at Course Technology/Thomson Learning as a Web Developer/System Integrator, where they were the lead developer for a training platform targeted at Fortune 500 clients. Stewart was responsible for replacing a third party Learning Management System, resulting in a cost savings of $150K/year. Stewart also wrote functional and technical specifications and deployment procedures, and worked with third party vendors to integrate their courseware with their LMS.

From 2001 to 2017, Stewart worked at Cengage Learning as a Senior JavaScript Developer, Technical Team Lead, and Senior Web Developer. Stewart developed an access code system using React and Redux, Web API, Entity Framework, and Bootstrap. Stewart separated React components into presentation and container components, and setup Redux action creators to handle asynchronous requests with redux-thunk. Stewart also worked on an agile SCRUM team on a C#/AngularJS project and wrote unit tests for the access code system with Mocha and Enzyme.

In 2017, Stewart moved to Clockworks Analytics as Lead UI Engineer/Manager.

Stewart Gordon attended Penn State University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. In 1995, they obtained a Certificate in Client/Server Development from Boston University.
