Joshua Colley

Joshua Colley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Joshua started their career as a Lifting Equipment Inspection Engineer at Applus Velosi, where they received extensive training on industry regulations and standards. Joshua then took on the role of Sr. Lifting Equipment Inspector & Trainer at GI&C, where they conducted inspections, provided technical advice, and trained new inspectors. Joshua also played a key role in technical audits conducted by major clients and government bodies.

After that, Joshua transitioned into the field of technology, joining BrightHR as an iOS Developer. In this role, they led platform refactor and major feature updates to mobile applications and conducted research on Computer Vision techniques. Joshua then moved on to Barclays UK as the iOS Technical Lead, where they led an iOS development team working on the Barclays Banking App and contributed to the Quality Oversight group.

Most recently, Joshua joined Closed Loop Medicine as a UX Engineer. In this role, they lead the prototyping of the company's digital product, conducts Research & Development activities to improve patient experience, and facilitates Usability Engineering research. Prior to that, they served as a Mobile Application Developer at Closed Loop Medicine, delivering key features for the company's SaMD products and developing prototype applications for usability evaluations.

Throughout their career, Joshua has demonstrated expertise in various fields, including inspection, training, mobile application development, and user experience engineering.

Joshua Colley obtained a Master of Science - MS degree in Computer Software Engineering from Wrexham Glyndŵr University between 2020 and 2022. In addition, they earned a certification in Medical Device Usability from BERGO in March 2022.
