Hong Xiao

Dr. Hong Xiao is a Computer Scientist, with nearly two decades of experience in AI, Data Science, Robotics, Numerical Algorithms, and Image and Video Processing. Prior to joining Clostra in 2018, she was a Director of Engineering for leading engineers residing in three continents, and worked on developing video processing software installed in millions of consumer electronic devices worldwide, including all Sony and LG TVs.

As an Applied Mathematics Professor at the University of California, Davis, she published widely in computer science, applied mathematics, and engineering. Her algorithms on PSWFs are widely used in commercial Adaptive Optics software. Dr. Xiao earned a B.S. from Tsinghua University, and a Ph.D. from Yale University, both in Computer Science.
