Sreenath Somarajapuram

Sreenath Somarajapuram is a Senior Staff Engineer at Cloudera, specializing in R&D for GenAI, where Sreenath architects the Cloudera SQL AI Assistant to optimize SQL tasks using Large Language Models. Sreenath also leads the development of the Hue Query Processor service and previously contributed to the Data Analytics Studio (DAS) after the merger of Hortonworks and Cloudera. In addition, Sreenath is an active member of The Apache Software Foundation, serving on the Apache Tez Project Management Committee and contributing to multiple projects within the Hadoop ecosystem. Prior experience includes significant roles at Hortonworks, Zynga, Subex Ltd, and the founding of MyFactory, a software development venture during college. Sreenath holds a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Mahatma Gandhi University.
