Andrew Martin

Andrew Martin is an experienced engineering manager currently at Cloudflare since March 2020, following a significant role as vice president of global technology services at State Street from February 2018 to November 2019. In this position, Andrew oversaw the architecture and deployment of a private OpenStack cloud, leading a team focused on identity and access management. Prior to that, Andrew contributed to IBM as a research staff member for nearly 16 years, leading efforts in FPGA acceleration for cloud computing infrastructure. Andrew began a career at Motorola SPS and Freescale Semiconductor, where leadership and technical contributions were pivotal in developing innovative research programs and on-chip networks. Educationally, Andrew holds a PhD and a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, along with a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Science from Queen's University.
