Carlos Torales Montero

VP, Head of Sales, LATAM at Cloudflare

Carlos Torales Montero is currently the VP, Head of Sales for LATAM at Cloudflare. Prior to this, they spent 16 years with Cisco, where they most recently served as the Managing Director, Sales for the Small Business Segment. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of 100 sales and business development professionals in digitizing operational processes and the sales cycle to scale growth and drive incremental business within the SMB market. This resulted in increasing revenue from $180M to $200M over a two-year period.

In addition to their responsibilities at Cisco, Carlos also cultivated strategic partnerships with critical service providers to leverage digital MKT plays, channels, services, and platforms in order to transform the customer experience through innovation. Carlos was also tasked with navigating Cisco through the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing a recovery initiative that shifted coverage, instituted low rates, and integrated virtual sales. This allowed Cisco to meet the demand for their Cisco Designed Experience Series, which includes Secure Meraki and Secure Remote Collab business plays.

Carlos is a proven leader with a track record of success in building high-performing teams and driving organizational growth. Carlos has established a culture of performance, accountability, trust, and respect within their teams, even during times of challenge such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Carlos is also experienced in managing a full P&L for marketing, channels, engineering, and sales organizations.

Carlos Torales Montero has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and has completed coursework in negotiation and project management at WSU Carson College of Business.
