Emily Hancock

Emily Hancock is the Chief Privacy Officer and Sr. Director at Cloudflare, and has extensive experience in privacy law and compliance. Prior to joining Cloudflare, Emily was the VP of Legal and Corporate Secretary at Evernote, where they advised the company on compliance with global privacy and data protection laws, product design, security, user support, and third-party data disclosure issues. Emily also has experience working with law enforcement agencies, having served as Senior Legal Director for Compliance at Yahoo!, where they managed law enforcement outreach and provided advice regarding compliance with law enforcement requests for all of Yahoo!'s U.S.-based services. Emily began their legal career as an Associate at Steptoe & Johnson, LLP.

Emily Hancock has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, a degree in journalism from Washington Center for Politics & Journalism, and a B.A. in political science from Boston College.

Emily Hancock reports to Matthew Prince, CEO & Co-Founder. They are on a team with John Graham-Cumming - CTO, Thomas Seifert - CFO, and Juan Miguel Rodriguez - CIO.
