Joaquin Madruga

Joaquin Madruga is a seasoned engineering leader with significant experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Cloudflare since February 2018, Joaquin oversees the engineering of Cloudflare's Product Platform. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Director of Engineering at Vectra AI, where Joaquin established and expanded the Austin office into the primary development site. Joaquin also played a vital role at Juniper Networks as Senior Manager, growing the Austin office and mentoring engineers. Joaquin's engineering management skills were further developed at Rapid7 as Engineering Manager, alongside earlier roles at Cisco and IBM, where foundational work included developing core systems and libraries. Joaquin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
