Mark Nottingham

Mark Nottingham serves as the Standards Lead at Cloudflare, coordinating technical standards efforts and acting as an expert on HTTP protocols. Nottingham is a Digital Expert for the Competition and Markets Authority, advising on oversight of digital markets. As Chair of both the HTTP and QUIC Working Groups within the IETF, Nottingham has overseen significant protocol developments. Experience includes roles at W3C, where Nottingham served as Secretary of the Corporation and Director, and at Fastly as Senior Principal Engineer. Previous positions span various companies, contributing to advancements in internet standards and architectural alignment, supported by a Graduate Diploma in Communications Law from the University of Melbourne and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Towson University.
