María Vaquero Martín

María Vaquero Martín has a diverse and extensive work experience. María is currently working at Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH, where they hold multiple roles. María started as an Innovation Manager in December 2020 and later became a Team Lead in Business Development in October 2022. In January 2023, they took up the role of Team Lead in Business Development & Marketing.

Before joining Cloud&Heat Technologies GmbH, María took a sabbatical from October 2019 to March 2020, during which they travelled in Latin America and engaged in remote research work.

María has also worked at TU Dresden, where they held two distinct roles. From January 2015 to August 2019, they worked as a Research Associate at the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Their research focused on topics like stakeholder integration in new product development, open innovation, and customer perceptions of innovative products and services. María conducted large-scale firm surveys, consumer experiments, and qualitative interviews, utilizing various analysis methods. Prior to this, from September 2013 to December 2014, they were a Research Associate in the InnoTech4Health junior research group, specifically focusing on stakeholder-oriented innovation in the medical device sector.

María's earlier work experience includes a role as an Operational Cost Reduction Specialist at Tetra Pak from October 2011 to July 2013. María received extensive training in technical principles of aseptic packaging and gained expertise in cost modeling and improvement of packaging lines and plants. María also carried out cost structure analysis and was involved in designing and selling operational cost reduction projects.

Additionally, they had an internship at CLH from February 2011 to July 2011.

Overall, María has a strong background and expertise in business development, innovation management, research, and cost reduction in various sectors such as technology, packaging, and healthcare.

From 1990 to 2004, María attended the British Council School of Madrid, where they obtained their high school diploma.

In 2004, María enrolled at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, pursuing an Engineer's Degree in Industrial Engineering. María completed this degree in 2011.

During their time at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, María participated in the Erasmus Programme at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2009 to 2010.

María then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 2011 to 2018.

Continuing their academic journey, María pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Management at Technische Universität Dresden from 2013 to 2019.

In terms of additional certifications, María obtained the Goethe Zertifikat C1 from Goethe Institut in June 2011. María also earned a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge - ESOL Examinations in June 2003. Additionally, they obtained the TOEIC certification from Educational Testing Service in January 2011.
