Kong Sham

Kong Sham is a design and sustainability expert currently serving as the Director of Design and Construction at CloudKitchens, where they lead a team in creating efficient kitchens while managing project timelines and budgets. Previously, Kong worked as a Lead Restaurant Design Consultant for Mark Stech-Novak Restaurant Consultation and Design at Google America, focusing on functional kitchen layouts and energy-efficient equipment. As a Research Engineer at PG&E Food Service Technology Center, they developed performance test methods for commercial cooking equipment and helped restaurants achieve energy efficiency standards. Kong began their career as a Student Project Coordinator with the Alliance to Save Energy, leading energy efficiency initiatives on university campuses. They earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
