Jimmy Garcia-Meza has a wealth of experience in the technology industry. Jimmy began their career in 1988 as Sales Manager for Latin America at Sun Microsystems, Inc. During their time there, they grew revenues 150% every year and was nominated for Sales Manager of the Year three years in a row. Jimmy was then promoted to Sales Director for Sun Microsystems de Mexico, where they built the local sales team and distribution channels. In 1999, they joined Index Ventures as a Venture Director, where they recruited Sun Microsystems as an investor and helped close the fund at $180 million. From 2001 to 2007, they held various positions at Silicon Image, Inc., including VP of Corporate Development, VP and GM of the Storage Products Business, and VP of Worldwide Sales. During this time, they built a three-year growth plan through acquisitions, established HDMI as a worldwide standard, and grew revenues from $40 million to $200 million. From 2007 to 2009, they were the CEO of FilesX, Inc. (now IBM). In 2009, they became an Executive Director and Advisor to Click4Compliance. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Nubisio, Inc., where they raised a Series A round in 2012. In 2019, they began working as an Advisor to Stanford University's OVAL Lab. Jimmy also serves on the Board of Advisors for Valens.

Jimmy Garcia-Meza attended The University of Kansas from 1983 to 1985, where they earned a BS in Electrical Engineering. Jimmy then returned to The University of Kansas from 1985 to 1987, where they earned an MS in Telecommunications & Computer Networks. In 2004, they attended Stanford University for an Executive Training Program.
