Craig Tongue

Craig Tongue has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Craig currently works as a Cloud Platform Architect at Cloudscaler since August 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Lead Data Engineer at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) from August 2020 to March 2021. Craig also worked as a Solution Architect at the UK Home Office from December 2017 to August 2020.

Before joining the public sector, Craig worked at Scott Logic, where they held multiple positions. Craig was a Lead Developer / Solutions Architect from January 2016 to August 2020 and a Senior Developer from December 2013 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Tactix4 from September 2011 to August 2013.

Craig's earlier experience includes roles at Flextrade as a Strategy Specialist from August 2009 to December 2010, Ocado as a Java Developer from June 2007 to July 2008, and Subtle Logic as a DJ from 1998 to 2008. As a DJ, they performed at various events in Europe, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Budapest, and Paris.

Craig Tongue attended The University of Edinburgh from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bsc degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. In November 2017, they also obtained a certification in Serverless Machine Learning with Tensorflow on Google Cloud Platform from Coursera.
