Rui Pereira

Rui Pereira has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Rui is currently employed at CloudTalk as a Senior Engineering Manager, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Talkdesk as an Engineering Manager from February 2022 until June 2022. Before that, they held the position of Associate Engineering Manager at Talkdesk, where they focused on teaching, mentoring, and coaching two Kanban teams in the Digital Customer Engagement cluster. Rui also played a key role in driving strategy initiatives within the same cluster.

From 2011 to 2021, Rui worked at Celfocus. Rui started as a Unified Comms Software Engineer, collaborating on all stages of the systems development lifecycle. Rui then progressed to the role of Unified Comms - Demand & Delivery, where they liaised between customers and internal product development departments. Following this, they became a Technical Project Manager, overseeing various projects for Vodafone and working closely with different teams and senior management. In their final role at Celfocus, they served as a Senior Technical Project Manager, responsible for setting realistic timelines and checkpoints, developing implementation methodologies, and managing costs and performance to achieve project goals and objectives.

Rui Pereira has a diverse education history. Rui first pursued a Licenciatura in Computer Science from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto, starting in 2007 and graduating in 2011. Following this, Rui attended the University of Oxford from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Rui also pursued further certifications. In 2013, they obtained the MCSA - Querying Sql Server 2012 (70-461) certification from Microsoft. Rui also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in July 2020. Most recently, in September 2021, Rui became a Team Kanban Practitioner, certified by Kanban University. Rui's education and certifications demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of computer science and software engineering.
