Mara Spentza

University Lecturer

Mara Spentza is a PhD candidate at the International Hellenic University and a university lecturer with over 15 years of experience in architecture and lighting design. Holding multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Light & Lighting from UCL and a Master of Architecture from the Glasgow School of Art, Mara has received recognition for innovative lighting projects, such as the floodlighting of the Cathedral of Patra, which earned the Young Lighter of the Year award in 2006. Passionate about the interplay of natural and artificial light, Mara focuses on creating energy-efficient lighting schemes that enhance both aesthetics and functionality in architectural spaces.
