Joanne Roulston is a seasoned legal and social work professional with extensive experience in family law, mediation, and social policy. Currently serving as a lawyer, mediator, and registered social worker at Themis Law & Mediation since February 2023, Joanne has established a practice focused on trauma-informed service delivery in Ontario family courts. With a long-standing academic role as an adjunct professor at Carleton University since 1998, Joanne teaches social work and policy-related courses and supervises field placements. Past experiences include teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution at Algonquin College, consulting for various organizations, and holding significant positions within the Government of Canada, leading evaluations and policy development in social services and food safety. Joanne holds multiple degrees, including a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and a Master's in Social Work from Carleton University.
