Kate Rubey has extensive work experience in the medical field. Kate started their career as a Pediatric Resident at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin from June 2014 to June 2017. Kate then worked as a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellow Physician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia from June 2017 to July 2020. During this time, they also served as a Content Creator for @drkater Medical and Lifestyle Instablog, where they managed the Instagram blog focused on educating about the physician scientist career path, Neonatal-Perinatal medicine, and life in Philadelphia. In 2019, they worked as a Brand Ambassador for FIGS and continued in a similar role at Clove from 2020. Currently, they hold the positions of Research Fellow and Attending Physician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Kate Rubey completed their education in a chronological order. Kate first attended Miami University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Microbiology. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2010, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Medical Science from Loyola University Chicago. Finally, from 2010 to 2014, they attended Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
In terms of certifications, Kate Rubey became board-certified as a Pediatrician by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in October 2017. Kate achieved the additional certification of being a board-certified Neonatologist by the same institution in March 2022.
