Joe Strickland is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Deputy Superintendent of Employee Services and Deputy Superintendent of Instruction at Clovis Municipal School District since August 2006. Strickland has held various roles within the district, including Director of Federal Programs and Director of Human Resources, where responsibilities involved the establishment and maintenance of online application systems, supervision of mentoring programs for new teachers, and facilitation of professional development workshops. Prior to these roles, Strickland served as an Assistant Principal at Marshall Middle School and taught third grade at an arts academy, incorporating arts-infused teaching practices. Joe Strickland has also contributed as a member of the Board of Directors for LA Casa De Buena Salud, and previously held positions with the American Association of School Personnel Administrators and ENLACE. Strickland holds a Master of Education in Integrated Teaching through the Arts from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University.
