David Kynaston

David Kynaston serves as the Director of Cyber Strategy, Architecture, Plans and Innovation at CLP since December 2023, leading cybersecurity efforts across business units to support the company's Utility of the Future vision. Previously, Kynaston held roles including Cyber Security Specialist at the UK Ministry of Defence, where responsibilities involved delivering strategic cybersecurity services and developing implementation plans. Experience also includes serving as Security Engineering Lead at Chelton and leading the UK Defence Cybersecurity Team at Expleo Group. Kynaston’s military background with the Royal Air Force includes significant contributions to cybersecurity regulations and the management of security operations. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Staffordshire and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Wolverhampton.
