Chris Peavler has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Chris started their career at Eastern Airlines, Inc. as an Airframe Mechanic where they specialized in the overhaul of aircraft wings. Chris then transitioned to Augusta Aviation as an A&P Mechanic, before joining the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University. At the Medical College, Chris held several roles including Manager Server Administration, where they led a team of specialists and managed procurement and migrations; System Support Specialist, where they installed and maintained UNIX and Novell file servers; and Manager File Server Administration, where they oversaw the engineering and implementation of UNIX systems. Chris later joined Cerner Corporation as a Team Lead, handling server administration and project management. Chris then moved on to Augusta University, where they served as the Lead Research & HPC Sys Engineering and later as the Director of Research Technology, responsible for administering research-related IT requirements and supervising various teams. Most recently, Chris worked at Amazon as an IT Manager, overseeing IT needs across multiple sites in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Savannah, GA. Currently, they serve as the Director of IT Services & Operations at Club Car.
Chris Peavler holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Augusta University, which was completed from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Augusta University from 2010 to 2015. Chris also has an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Core Degree for Business Administration from Augusta University, obtained from 2010 to 2014. Chris Peavler additionally obtained an Associate's degree in Industrial Technology/Technician from Greenville Technical College in 1989. Additionally, Chris Peavler holds several certifications, including Coaching and Developing Employees, Conflict Resolution Foundations, Customer Service: Problem Solving and Troubleshooting, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Unconscious Bias, A & P Mechanic from the FAA, and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
